[TRANS] Heaven's Postman Press Conference Interview

An idol group singer. A joint production between Korea and Japan. Fantasy-romance. The combination of these three elements may make viewers feel unsure about film "Postman to Heaven" at first glance, but it would be too early to make any judgements just yet.

Director Lee Byung-hun, actress Han Hyo-joo and boy band TVXQ member Hero Jaejoong turned up at a press screening on Monday for "Postman", the second of the telecinema projects where a Korean director, Japanese screenwriter and Hallyu stars have gotten together to produce a total of eight films.

In "Postman", Hero plays Jae-joon, the postman from heaven, who delivers letters living people have written to their loved ones in heaven. He comes across Hana, played by Han, who writes a letter full of resentment to the dead man that she used to love, reveals his presence to her, and the two start writing responses to the letters for the saddened people who are left in the real world.

Needless to say, the co-stars of the film are top stars in their respective fields of the entertainment industry and screenwriter Eriko Kitagawa, nicknamed 'the god of love stories' for her various hit dramas including "Long Vacation" and "Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi", turns the fairy tale into a fairy tale-like romance. Director Lee backs up the fantasy even further with his beautiful imagery, as he displayed in dramas "Sorry, I Love You" and "Snow Queen";

Below are excerpts from the press conference held after a screening for the film, set for release on November 11, which waited a year for its showing to the world.

Q: We heard that Erika Kitakawa started writing "Postman to Heaven" with Hero in mind. Why do you think that is? And is there anything the writer or director requested for in particular to you Hero?

Director Lee Hyung-min (Lee): Since the telecinemas are a joint project between Korea and Japan, we thought Hero who is widely known as a member of TVXQ, would be good for the part considering the fact the movie would be shown in Japan too. I actually didn't even know who TVXQ was but I now know the names of all the members. (laugh) And during filming, I realized why the screenwriter wanted Hero to play the part. We were in shoot for over a term of four weeks and during that time, Hero would perform in Asia but come to set right after he got off the plane to practice and shoot his scenes. His acting was good although it was his first time and he would have been done a better job if he had been able to just focus on the movie.

Q: Were you able to feel any differences between Korean scripts and one written by a Japanese writer?

Han Hyo-joo (Han): When I first got the script, there were parts I didn't quite understand or lines that didn't make sense to me. There were also parts I wasn't too sure about so in the beginning, I got the original script in Japanese and looked it over alongside the one in Korean and studied both. I ended up just going with how I felt but it was good because it was a different experience.

Hero Jaejoong (Hero): I got the Korean script first which had been translated from Japanese but I didn't really understand it because it was my first time acting and I didn't know how I should analyze it. But director Lee said he wanted to go with the lines that the writer had originally written rather than change them so he helped me to study and practice many of the lines which had difficult nuances.

Lee: These two are good at Japanese but I don't know the language. So when it became difficult for me to catch the emotions the script was trying to display at certain points, we all studied and worked together on those scenes.

Q: There were some slightly corny lines toward the latter half of the movie. How did it feel and did you make any bloopers doing the scenes?

Hero: In the end of the film, there is a scene where we say things such as 'Haven't we met somewhere before?' and I'll respond, "In my dreams?" I felt a bit weird saying that. It would've felt less awkward if I had been able to do it in Japanese. And in my mind, I made a lot of bloopers. (laugh)

Han: I made a lot of bloopers in my mind too. (laugh) So it didn't seem as awkward when I was actually acting out the lines but there are some parts are a bit corny now that I look back on them. (laugh)

Q: Director Lee, the imagery you had shown us so far in your previous works, shone again in "Postman". Is there anything you payed close attention to in particular?

Lee: Japanese people have dealt a lot with the topics such as life and death and love stories between the living and the dead in their movies. But Korean people aren't used to the genre so I had to change some of the script after consulting with the writer. And I because of those parts which may seem awkward to the Korean audience, I felt that it should be more attractive in terms of imagery compared to any other film and got together the best staff in broadcasting, filming and television commercials. I had the TV commercial team work on the filming and lights, the broadcasting team on the editing and producing and the movie staff on the art while paying a lot of attention to mise-en-scene or images. There are parts where the film may seem Japanese but the younger generation these days seem to take in such props, designs and colors quite naturally. I wanted to bring this out as best as I could.

Q: Was there any pressure in having to act with Hero who is a newcomer?

Han: It's true that I was very pressured but it gradually lessened and had completely disappeared by the time we were done shooting. I actually had fun while in shoot because Hero's staff and fans were very considerate towards me. As his acting partner, I would have to say he very quick. His reactions toward my acting was very good and he adjusted pretty quickly so I think he has much potential for the future.

Q: Are you considering to continue to act? And you're currently in a dispute with your agency SM Entertainment over your contract so we are wondering if you plan to continuing to use the name they gave you -- Hero Jaejoong?

Hero: I'm not the one who put the name "Hero Jaejoong" in the poster so I'm not so sure about that part. (laugh) And I can't tell you as of now, whether I'll continue acting or not but I think it would be most right to say, like I have been saying since my debut, that I will try my best if given the opportunity.

Q: What is a new sort of joy you felt while acting, different from going up on stage to give performances like you have been doing so for the past several years?

Hero: They joy I feel on stage performing versus acting are very different but it took me a long time to catch what it was. The director had actually told me many times to think of acting the same as going up on stage to put on a performance. And he took singer Rain as an example, saying he had become a better performer on stage after taking on acting.

Q: What advice did you receive from other members of your group, including U-Know Yunho who recently starred in MBC TV series "No Limit"? Or since you had actually filmed your movie before U-Know went into shoot, had you given him any advice? (the question is soooo yunjae. LMAO)

Hero: They didn't give me any advice. (laugh) We were all extremely busy back when I was filming "Postman" because we were promoting our fourth album. We also had concerts so everyone was exhausted but U-Know and Max Changmin showed a lot of interest in the atmosphere on set and told me to work hard. And U-Know is such a hard-worker that I wasn't in a position to give him advice on acting. He never even tells us when he's having a hard time or he is sick so I just watched how he did, believing he would do well.

Q: Would you like to say a word to your fans who are worried over the legal dispute?

Hero: It was actually hard for me even having to show up publicly during such times. But I thought that I really should attend this screening event. I had a very hard time while we were in shoot for this a year ago but I was also very happy during that time and became very close to the director, actors and staff. I myself had been looking forward to its release for the past year so I am in hard times but I thought that I should turn up to congratulate the film. I know a lot of fans must be worried but I hope this movie can be reassurance to their hearts at least a bit.

YuChun smiled shyly after being praised 'Sexy' by JeJung who peeked at him during his photoshoot. "I feel really great to be able to work on a music piece with someone who has the same goal as me. But our personalities are really different, I'm more introverted and not very sociable." YuChun who was saying that, seems compatible with the quiet deep ocean background during the photoshoot.

Mika Ninagawa said while pressing the shutter, "Though the atmosphere is quiet, it is not pressurizing. He gave people a sense of responsibility, gentleness and charm." Their single has included the desires to stand on the stage as 5 once again no matter what happens. "We have always been together as 5. As the others are not with us right now, it's embarrassing to say this (laugh~), but I felt the love from them. Therefore, I do not wish to forget the most important thing to me, and this song was written based on this feeling."

Mika Ninagawa expressed, "JeJung is like a big red and elegant flower, while YuChun is someone who has the ability to give others a sense of responsibility and charm even underneath his quiet exterior."

JeJung and YuChun are famous all over Asia as they are members of Tohoshinki, a 5 member idol group from Korea. Tohoshinki debut in Korea at 2004, and Japan at 2005. This summer, they have also successfully ended their 4th live tour concert at Tokyo Dome. JeJung was born in 1986 and is the lead singer in the group. YuChun was born in 1986 and is in charge of the bass and rap in the group. Both their digital single [Endless Sweet] and single [COLORS~Melody and Harmony~] have been released on 23rd September and 30th September respectively.

JeJung and YuChun formed a sub-unit and released a single [COLORS~Melody and Harmony~]. Today, both of them are here in the studio. "Though it is kind of lonely, at least YuChun is with me so I'm feeling better! We want to show everyone a new style of us which is different from when we are all together as 5", JeJung said. While YuChun was having his solo shoot, JeJung who was really mischievous, was disturbing him from the back of the backdrop setting. But once the actual shoot started, he immediately turned into someone who is serious and charming, seemingly like the prince who just walk out from a romance manga.

Mika Ninagawa said, "That's how someone, who is idolized by others, should be! His generous working attitude is really close to my style of working. A few of my works required him to pose in a regal manner, and he was willing to give it a try, which was really remarkable." JeJung who was posing while playing with the flower petals said, "The flower is still prettier than me ah~", which made everyone laugh. His presence always creates a cheerful atmosphere.

Even when their opinions differ, they are able to naturally understand each other when they communicate with one another.

-Even when they’re on and off as Tohoshinki members, the two are always close together. Where do you think each other’s charm lies? To further inform our readers who only see the two on stage, please let us hear your thoughts
JJ: I think Yuchun’s good point is when his heart moves. Besides having that in common with him, I feel that we are the same. I’ve always felt that way since the first time I met him.
YC: I think Jaejung’s best point is that he is the type who listens to others well. His charm lies in both the way you can talk earnestly with him and how he understands your pain.
-Was the image of your first meeting memorable?
JJ: When I heard that Yuchun was coming back from America as an exchange student there to join Tohoshinki, I freely built up an image of him in my mind. He was totally different from my image of him: blonde hair, blue eyes, and white skin (laughs). He wore a colorful shirt, short pants, and sandals. He looked like a Chinese action star (laughs). But his mind was free-styled, and I was really glad. It just shows how you can’t judge a person from his appearance (laughs).
YC: At that time, Jaejung was into sports and he had these huge muscles. It was about twice the size of what he has now (laughs). When I first met him, he wore a tank top and shorts. I thought he was a K1 player. But after talking to him, I discovered that we had a lot in common and became really good friends.
-Is conversation important in seeing into men’s (hearts)?
JJ: Yes. We have differences in opinion too. We’re similar in the way how our emotions sway and we can talk with each other about anything- I think that’s the most important relationship of all.
YC: After a day’s work, while we go drinking, I’ll say, “I think this way, what do you think of it Jaejung?”. We do this quite often. Because we work with a lot of people, usually we have to read the overall atmosphere and be careful of what we say so that there are no misunderstandings. But during off-time, we can relax and say anything we want.
-So the important point is to not pay too much mind and speak frankly then. So how do you catch the other’s feelings and thoughts?
JJ: Yuchun discusses everything with me. That’s why I can completely understand that I can completely put my trust in him.
YC: During those times, I feel that I found happiness and I’m laughing with my whole heart. When we are together, I can put my full trust in him and talk to him about anything. We’re able to naturally understand each other.
-For the men who are able to open up to others, they can also trust in girls. This can serve as a reference. Thank you (for the interview).

Birth of a special project unit! Triggered by Yuchun
The pair’s project “Colors –Melody and Harmony” was born, whose idea was it?

YC: Mine. It was probably on the day just as we were recording “Endlessly Sweet- Amaku Hatehinaku”. I was originally preparing a solo for Tokyo Dome, but suddenly on that day, I thought, “Ah, I want to do it with Jejung.” I’ve worked with Jejung before in composing, and I thought that it would be perfect if we were partners this time. I asked, “Do you want to do it together?” He said “Yes, let’s do it.”
JJ: It was beautiful. At that time, I was worrying about what to do for my solo, and I thought it was a good idea. –So I decided to go with it at once.
YC: The two of us decided really quickly.
JJ: It was almost trivial (laughs). But we had our goal set.
-How did you want to make the song when you were discussing about it?
JJ: We’ve decided from the very beginning. Because we wanted to sing this song at the Tokyo Dome with all 50,000 people, we wanted to make a simple and bright melody. But, because Yuchun had already heard a song I arranged earlier, he suggested, “Let’s go with this one.” (laughs)
YC: Because it was a good song.
JJ: But it was troublesome.
YC: Not at all. I was troubled because I haven’t improved in composing, and it was a really good arrangement. It fit exactly the image of singing with 50,000 people. Because it’s his first bright song in all the songs he composed, I really wanted to use that arrangement.
-Really? The title Melody & Harmony is really beautiful. Because it was only the two of you, the song felt really fresh.
YC: We felt pressured about the harmony. We thought we couldn’t harmonize well with only the two of us singing.
-It’s already perfect, isn’t it?
JJ: I suppose it’s good. We worked really hard on it.
Required credit check. Did anyone else participate in composing?
-The atmosphere of the other song “Shelter” is really mature.
JJ: Actually, I’m really proud of this one.
-Well then, did the work go smoothly?
JJ: It took a long time~.
YC: I had trouble with the rap. There was more than I thought there would be. (laughs)
JJ: But it was a new discovery, right? I told him, “Yuchun’s good at this rap!” (laughs). And, oh yes, please look at the credits. There! Junsu’s name is included in composing the song!
-You’re right! Eh, why?
JJ: At first, I was recording the demo in my own room, but the chorus just wouldn’t come out. And then, Junsu burst into my room saying, “Let me try singing it.” And for 10 minutes, he just sang it and said, “Isn’t this great?” and left after. (laughs). But this was vexing…
YC: It’s a good melody, isn’t it?
JJ: Yes. Thanks to him we were able to finish the song. We put his name there because of that one moment.
-Good story. (laughs) I think it’s a wonderful single that satisfies you because you can feel the charm of two very different extremes .
YC: There’s no in-between song. (laughs)
JJ: But there is a connection between these two songs. They are similar in that they both say “Thank you” in the lyrics.
-What do you want the listeners to feel from this single?
YC: Kindness.
JJ: I would be happy if they can see a new side of us through this song.

[TRANS] Interview- DOG TALK with Jaejoong and Vick

The name vik was coined by junsu.. from "visual shock"
About why i decided to raise him.. at that time, i saw a dog on a television show of the same breed as vik and just really really wanted to raise one. Later when i went with a trainer to pick out a dog, he was the very first dog i saw when i entered the door.

At that time, vik was only two months old. he was soooooo cute! At that moment to me, it didn't matter what his personality was like, his looks more than made up for it then.
Because my dad is the one raising him, you look at him now, he's absolutely choongchoongdu style- doesn't care about anything at all. If the weather is good, he'll just lie there like this doing nothing. he doesn't bark, doesn't play around. If he fights with the other member's dogs, he'll definitely lose... he's very gentle.

There's one other thing about his personality.. helping him to bathe is VERY difficult. Bathing him yesterday took a total of 5 hours! our staff... XP
In the old house, we didn't wash him often and there really wasn't a need to. My dad likes to use those huge tubs for bathing children to wash him but vic likes to swim around. He also really likes it when we use the shower head.

There have been times when i've thought about it and regretted.. why did i have to choose to raise such a huge dog? especially since my parents are the ones having a hard time raising him since he's so big... If he was very active or knew how to act cute and play around, at least kids would like him. but look at him! look~ he doesn't even show signs of happiness when he sees his master. he doesn't like to run but likes to stroll verrrryyy slowly. he's only one!!
Out of a year, we usually can spend only about a month or so together. When he was still really young i would bring him around everywhere, feed him... i always believed he should remember me! I didn't expect it to end up being totally different... he ignores me when i call him, he doesn't even respond to his name, he'll only listen to you when you're calling him for meals.

Another unique thing about Vick is that he totally ignores you.. when i bring him for walks in the park he won't stroll along nicely, he'll go searching in strange places and i have no idea what he's searching for!
For meals, he likes meat alot. But my dad doesn't allow him to eat too much meat because he's afraid Vic will fail sick. Always eating meat will also make his body smell which is why we don't let him eat much. but this kid... he seems to live for eating.. pork, chicken. he loves them all.
How do we show affection to each other? vik ahh.. give me your hand~ (vic puts his paw on jae's hand) just like this! i'm the only one vic is willing to shake hands with~

Another thing about vic is if you call him the third time he definitely won't listen. If you ask him for his hand, his leg, he'll always listen and shake hands with me. But always only twice. he'll definitely ignore you on the third call.
With my family.. yeah. My mum really liked him from the start. But now it's always my dad who looks after him. Among my sisters, vik is only close to two or three of them and they play very well together. the other sisters are all very scared of him because he's too big...
Now we still have alot of overseas activities, i'll have to sent him back to choongchoongdu..

Interviewer: "Three members of TVXQ are in a lawsuit. How did you feel after hearing that?"

Daesung: "I've been to Japan. TVXQ's popularity is even more extreme than we can imagine. Sad. I'm quite close with Yoonho hyung since we were on the same program; we still contact each other. I'm not sure why, but I hope it ends well."

[NEWS] The DBSK Situation, the Truth & the Distortion (Interview with Aquaintence)

The future of idol group DBSK is uncertain. DBSK’s 3 members (Micky YooChun, Xiah Junsu, Youngwoong Jaejoong) and SM’s trouble is too deep. Although they state that there will be no disbandment, in reality, disbandment is more than likely. Even if they avoid the worst case scenario, disbandment, it feels like their departure of SM is set.

On the third, a acquaintance of the 3 members said, “settlement with SM has been tried multiple times. But their differences couldn’t be settled. The reason this went to court is because they couldn’t find a point to settle.” Thus, they concluded that more attempts for negotiations was useless.

The acquaintance that the reporter met is someone who has watched over DBSK very closely. He has experienced all ups and downs since debut until now. According to him, DBSK advocated for only one thing. They wanted conditions of the contract to be eased. However, it has gotten to a point where the conversations between the two parties have gone nowhere.

He stated, “they asked for the contract term and earnings distribution to be revised because everyone could tell it was irrational. They attempted to negotiate until the end but they felt that SM was avoiding them. Therefore, things got emotional for both parties and the 3 members are even more angry with SM’s response.”

“The truth about the 3 things that SM distorted.”

After the initial reports about this incident, SM sent documents on the 1st and the 3rd. On the first, they reported that this problem was due to the makeup company investment and they will work it out. After the contract conditions were reported, they responded that members were paid 11 billion Won and were given foreign cars as presents.

In response to this, he stated, “the nature of this instance is the unfair contract, not the make up company. However, SM has not mentioned the contract conditions and have continued to use make up company issues to play with the media.”

Additionally, he discussed about the 11 billion Won. He said, “let’s say SM is right and that they were paid 11 billion won for the 6 years of work. This is the pre-tax profit. After taxes were paid, and this amount is divided by 6 years, and 5 members, this is less than 200 million won per member. For the first half of this year, the profits from album sales in Japan is 2.5 billion Yen (33 billion won). However, DBSK doesn’t even receive 200 million won per year.”

The total number of albums released in and outside of Korea is 48. Out of these, including singles and full albums, 1.96 million copies were sold in Korea. In Japan for 4 full albums and 27 singles, 8 of those sold over 100,000 copies, and one sold over 250,000 copies. Including south-east Asia, at least 4 million albums were sold.

He also criticized abnormal methods of calculating methods. According to him, “SM requested money for back dancers and food. Basically, almost all of the expenses were paid for by DBSK.” He added, “besides this, SM created a local subsidiary and divided the earnings of DBSK into pieces. For example, SM Japan and Avex divided earnings, and this was also divided with Korean SM. With complex divisions, the money for the members were reduced.

Also, he stated that the foreign cars were given to them under the company’s name. “They received cars from SM after an award ceremony. However, the cars were registered in SM’s name and is not owned by DBSK.”

“The three members are as tired as they can get.”

According to this acquaintance, the three members of DBSK are tired of SM’s play with the press. They have no intention to solve this with mere words, and are extremely upset that SM is exaggerating only one side of the story, distorting the truth. He said, “they expected SM to twist words with the press but didn’t realize it would be to this extent. If SM continues this method, I think it would be nearly impossible to work together with SM again. I suspect that they will part with SM and try to find a different solution to settle this.

Their departure from SM does not bean the disbandment of DBSK. He asserts that there is no problems in relationships between all the members. They are still like family and agree that in any situations, they must work together. He said, “Truthfully, all five had the same intentions. But in the process of negotiations, there was differences between the members. That is why only 3 members decided to fight with their company. They all agree that the contract conditions are irrational, it is just that their way of handling it is different.”

“DBSK will continue even after departure with SM” Micky YooChun, Xiah Junsu, Youngwoong Jaejoong’s will is stronger than ever. The acquittance reported that, “the 3 members are showing stronger wills than before debut. The three members are determined to stick together no matter what hardships come their way.”

They are also determined to get back together as 5 members under the name DBSK. He revealed, “even if the 3 members leave SM through lawsuit, this only means departure from SM. This does NOT mean the disbandment of DBSK. It may be after the 2 remaining members leave, or if they perform from 2 different companies; the 5 want to continue with DBSK.”

Well then, if 3 members leave SM, would they still be able to use the name ‘DBSK.’ Upon researching in the Industrial Property Office, the group name ‘DBSK’ is not registered. SM registered for DBSK trademark in 2004 but was denied. In other words, SM does NOT have the right to the name ‘DBSK.’ According to a ‘Mansung’ Patent Law Firm Office, the patent attorney Hwang Sung Pil said, “Dong Bang means East and one cannot assert exclusive right to use it. Most likely, this was probably the reason why the application was denied 2004. SM cannot assert any trademark rights to the name. If the 5 members are together even away from SM, they will have no problems using the name.”

More than anything, DBSK feels extremely sorry to their fans. This is why they want to go through with performances that were already scheduled. The acquaintance reported, “if they lose the lawsuit, they may have to pay an extreme amount of money for penalty. More than that, they are going through hard times thinking that they will have to be away from their fans while the lawsuit is in process.”

A dream to be prosecutor

The fact why U-Know Yunho (23) was chosen as the group’s leader.

All members said that it’s because his “charismatic charisma”, and he himself is someone who has a high awareness about the surroundings (T/N: care with other people).

His father is very strict. He’s been taught about a sincere manliness for a belief that “a man should be like this” in him. Due to his father’s lesson, from the very young age, he’s trained to not easily whinny when he made mistakes.

He becomes a natural leader and always been chosen as captain. His dream was to be a public prosecutor back then.


From what being heard, he used to withstand his father a lot.

“It’s true. When I was in middle school, I was in my rebellious stage.”

But now he already gave up to make a change of the natural flow of his life.
“This is what I’m supposed be. I think it’s perfect.” he laughed excitingly.

He added, “When I was still as trainee in my agency, I had never got a compliment like “you did good”. I was wondering whether I wasn’t praised because the expectation of the company was greater. I so missed to get credit of what I did, back then.”

Just like other members, there’s a while in Japan when he’s thinking “Why can’t we be accepted?”. Many nights had passed sleeplessly. The unusual sense of responsibility in him forced out, thus the agony was doubled. “I was thinking about returning back to Korea. Whether this is what we really want to do. I was so scared.” he revealed.

Right now, their stardom has rose steadily in Japan with the stages in Budoukan and Tokyo Dome, however, the most surprising effect happened after they’re invited for the first time and debuted at NHK Kouhaku Red-White concert last year.

January this year.
When they went to Saipan in the PV shooting, the women of the local residents said, “We know Tohoshinki. We watched them in Red-White concert.”

“Not only young people, but Grandpa, grandma, and even people abroad, they know Tohoshinki. This is amazing.”


Motsunabe is the best.

Currently he’s been addicted to Japan motsunabe. “There are a lot of delicious food in Japan. But if I have to choose one, then motsunabe is. There’s also food like this in Korea, but Japanese’s has more simple taste. When I ate it in Japan for first time in Hakata, it was so delicious that even surprised me. Definitely perfect for my taste.

Everytime I went to eat in Hakata, it’s just like a melody: when being asked, ‘Do you want to eat motsunabe?’ I’ll answered. ‘of course. I want it so much!’”

There’s a hope within the mighty arms.

When being asked about the goals in the future, he cited the name Michael Jackson. “No matter the time has passed, his music remains forever. I’d like to sing songs like that. For everyone who always support us, we’ll never be forgetting our dream.”

With the fans, U-Know Yunho will always keep Tohoshinki at the top pace.

[TRANS] 090722 TVXQ: Children Who Are Growing While Holding On To Their "First Feelings"

Two years ago, this reporter had a short meeting with the father of TVXQ member, Kim Junsu. This year, on 14 July, at the Beijing press conference of the product that Kim Junsu, Kim Jaejoong and Park Yoochun invested in, this reporter greeted Mr Kim (T/N: Junsu's father), and although he was really busy on that day, he took my hand and said, "I still remember you. For the 3 children's event today, I'll be counting on your support."

In the past 2 years, there have been very few one-to-one interviews with TVXQ within China; as their popularity keeps growing, the company's requirements also become more strict, and unpleasant news and rumours also become something that they have to bear with as their popularity ascends. Even their parents have to be prepared in case they are faced with unpleasant situations.

The 3 members were unable to attend the press conference held on the 14th. On that day, Kim Junsu's father was continuously busy with matters pertaining to the conference, but whenever the Chinese fans came up to him, he always patiently fulfilled their requests. Park Yoochun's mom was sitting quietly at one corner the whole time, but under encouragement from Mr Kim, she got up and bowed to everyone, and said some thanks... Because of TVXQ, they've also been placed under the spotlight just like other stars, but in truth, they are just ordinary parents, who work extraordinarily hard.

・Regarding disbanding
Reporter:Previously, there were news of TVXQ disbanding floating around the Internet. This time, the 3 members did not attend the press conference, is it related to the rumours of disbanding?
Mr Kim: Haha. It's actually simply because of their schedules in Japan. They are always very busy when they are in Korea, leaving Korea and going into Japan, their schedules are just as busy, and they have a lot of work to do. As their father, my heart aches for them sometimes, but TVXQ's families are all the same, we will always understand them by looking at it from a different point of view. It's precisely because they are stars, that they are so busy, that they have to live under the eyes of others, that there will be all kinds of news, both good and bad... This is their job. As far as I know, they have been carrying out their schedules as per normal, up until now, I've not heard of any change among the TVXQ members. Where did you hear of such news?

Reporter: It was from online news; said to be reported from the Korean media.
Mr Kim: Korea is the same, especially for Internet news, there are accurate news and news that are inaccurate or wrong. Regarding the news of disbanding, we are unaware of it right now (T/N: he means to ask the reporter to not make hasty decisions about it)

・About the fans
Reporter: In China, there are a lot of working fans, and as long as they can afford it, they would go to Korea for holidays, visit your pizza shop, Mrs Park's icecream shop and the boutiques of the 3 members. Throughout the years, has there been any fan that left a deep impression on you? Do you talk to your son or the other TVXQ members about the fans?
Mr Kim: I am always thankful to the Chinese fans for their love, their love and trust have also touched the members of TVXQ. As a parent of Junsu, or rather of all the children in TVXQ, I am also always touched that the children have received so much love. The fans use different methods to love my children, in the cosmetic boutiques in Korea, the Japanese and Chinese fans have had good reactions to the cosmetics. ・About "first feelings"

Mr Kim: I think it's very exciting, I always feel extremely happy when I'm at their concerts.

Reporter: I heard that Korean fans are very insistent on the words "first feelings". TVXQ have come so far these past 5 years, from singers to stars, from artistes to business investors. As an elder, do you think that the 5 members still hold on to the first feelings they had, just like how they first entered the company because of their dreams to become singers?

Mr Kim: In my eyes, the 5 of them are children who still hold on to their "first feelings". They were like that in the past, are still like that now, and will always be like that even in the future. Even though they have a lot of schedules now and they have a lot of work everyday, after meeting so many people their attitudes have become more mature, and they are more experienced. But there are still a lot of things, including the determination they had when they just started out as singers to pursue their dreams, and those have not changed even now. And it's because they hold on to their "first feelings" that they can keep working hard and keep being passionate.

Since their trainee days, the TVXQ members have already thought of Junsu's house as their house. Mr Kim has seen the 5 children grow from fresh-faced boys to men who can shoulder and carry the weight of responsibility. Even after so many years have passed, in his eyes, they remain as children who are strong, sensitive, passionate; and who are occasionally restless and emotional. In Korea's fast-paced entertainment industry, ability to maintain the power to have a long-lasting career cannot be based on popularity alone. "They still need more practice." - When you have children in the future, how JUNSU will raise them?
When my children turn 3, I want to direct them to concentrate on something so that it can stretch their talents and abilities from the very young.

- Educate their talent.

- So, what kind of training that will be up for the children?


I have always been into soccer when I grow up. So it would be nice if my child is a boy, that he turns to be a soccer player. But if my son is not good in soccer, then it’s impossible to make him as soccer player, right?

- That would be forcing the child.

Yes. That’s why I don’t want to force my child to do anything. I want to respect my child’s opinion. There are things that suit someone that doesnt suit the others.

- So you want to decide what kind of interest that suits the children from the very soon. JUNSU, seem that you will raise them with independence.

Yes. I want to be friends with them, more than only child and parent relationship.


- By the way, which one you prefer to have, son or daughter?

2 boys and 1 girl will be nice.

- Is there a preferred order?
First a boy, then a boy again. And a girl in the end. Frankly, I’ve been thinking about this since I’m in junior high.

- Since that early!?


I like to plan everything or think of my future. But I have to be an adult first, more than anything (laughs).

- What is Yoochun’s ideal family?

I want a lovely wife and 2 daughters.

- All females?

Ah, but I think I want boys too~

- Then, 2 daughters and 1 son?

No, I don’t want 3.

- Why?


I want less children, small in number. If it’s possible, one is enough.

- Oh really? If that’s so, then you can give all your love to just one child?


That’s one the reason. But I also can give more attention to my wife.

- So, you want to always be lovers with your wife, even after you get married?


Yes! It would be nice to be in romance with my wife everyday and always be happy together.

- Your wife will be a happy person. Just by imagining it, I can figure a sweet scene already

If there are a lot of kids, time to have romance with your wife will be interrupted, isnt that so?

- True.


That’s why I don’t want many kids.

- I see~. But Yoochun, you have the image that you would completely spoil your kids.


Yes. There’s nothing wrong with that (laugh). But if my child does something bad, I will be very mad.

- I think it will be very scary when a nice Yoochun gets mad.

But technically, I will give my child freedom. Whether it’s music or sports, I want to let them do what they want.

- YUNHO’s ideal family structure?

I want a wife with 2 daughters and 1 son. It will looks nice.

- The order, by the way?

The order I want is a boy, a boy, and a girl.

The boys’ age gap can be close, while the girl is about 4-5 years from her brothers. That’s the ideal.

- What kind of father YUNHO be? To see that you’re so well taking care others, seems that you’ll be so doting father. Especially to the daughter.

Being lovely is a certain. I think I cant help it (laughs).

- However, you dont have the image that you’ll spoil them?

Sometime I will spoil them. But for manners and etiquette I will strictly teach them, I dont want them to trouble other people.

- Seems that your kids will resemble YUNHO and will be mature. By the way, what do you want your kids to become?

Oh, anything! I want them to be whatever they want to be.

- So you’ll respect your children’s decision?

I’m allowed to do what I want to do right now. I’m so respect my parents for that. That’s why I want to support whatever my children want to do. I’ll take care anything from behind.

- You seem to be a nice and understanding father.

Yet still I’m such a force guy right now, it’s impossible to do that for now.

- Is that so?

I’m lacking in experience, so to build a nice family and be a great person to support my child, I have to work hard, and learn in many experiences.

★JEJUNG★



Q. Since the tour began, until now, what left the deepest impression on you?
A. I don't have a deep impression over a particular aspect, rather, I feel really good about the tour as a whole. Although it's intangible, but just by standing on the stage, I can feel that I'm really blessed.

Q. Unexpectedly (blessed).
A. Yes. As for the reason, I'm not sure myself, it just feels like that this time around. I like to look down from the stage and look at the expressions of the audience.

Q. During the MC segment, you previously said that you "could see the audience's expressions".
A. Yes, to be able to even see their expressions, to think that these thousands, tens of thousand fans are here just to see the 5 of us as Tohoshinki, sometimes it still feels unbelievable. I feel really blessed.

Q. During the tour, was there anything in particular that made you feel stressed out or that it was difficult?
A. Before the tour began, Junsu got hurt. He couldn't participate in some performances, so there had to be necessary changes made to the stage and our placement on the stage, but the feelings and the connection between us did not change. Just by looking at Junsu, I get this feeling, that to be able to dance together as the 5 of us is not easy and really precious.

Q. It's really an unforgettable memory. Are you nervous about the tour?
A. I don't feel nervous. Maybe it's because I'm already familiar with the locations, so I feel really at ease and I get the feeling like "If it's like that, it should be okay". Coming here again, I get really strong feelings like "This year I must do my best too", but without any nervousness or stress.

Q. During the MC segment at Saitama Super Arena, you were forced to talk about your first kiss by Changmin. You didn't expect that then, right (laugh)?
A. Yes~! I didn't even expect this kind of topic to come up, I didn't want to talk about it (laugh)! But, this kind of topic is really not suitable for that situation!

Q. But you didn't have a choice then, right (laugh)?
A. Yes, that's why I felt so helpless... (laugh).

Q. Well then, the videos that were shown during the Lives also left a deep impression, let's talk a little about the filming process.
A. It's almost like filming a drama, but I also had a little mishap here. My partner was a Russian girl, who didn't know Japanese at all, and we had no way of communicating. What's more, she was even taller than me...

Q. A girl taller than Jejung?
A. Her height is roughly the same as mine, but those who are sitting down and watching, will think that the girl is taller (laugh). It seems like her hands are also larger than mine... (laugh).

Q. I see. Up until right now, was there any moment where you felt like "I must try my best at all costs here"?
A. During the encore song, the members can actually drink water in the middle, but I couldn't drink then, I had to go straight into the MC segment.

Q. And that was then followed by the next song?
A. Yes (laugh). I really worked hard for that!

Q. For the tour this time around, I heard there's a performance with piano accompaniment. How do you feel about it?
A. Really! Really! Really! Stressed~ Although I'm already familiar with the atmosphere and surroundings of the arena, it's a little different this time. I can't be careless!!

Q. Definitely. You have to concentrate on playing the piano as well as sing, it must be difficult.
A. It's very difficult. For example, if it's just my own part, then there's no problem at all. But because there are many parts where we harmonise together, it becomes more difficult. The melody is also a little different, I have to put in my feelings into the song, that's difficult too... Not just my own voice, but when I play the piano, I have to put in my feelings too.

Q. You mean to say, that the sound of the piano must have depth of feelings too?
A. Yes. I think that even if it's a piano, it can be affected by its environment and emit different sounds according to the feelings then. I have to think about playing the piano, and also put in feelings for the song... it's too difficult to have to consider these 2 things together (bitter laugh). But, I feel really blessed when performing too. The 4 others are surrounding the piano singing along! Of course, I also feel the heavy responsibility, but I also feel the joy that I've never felt before.

Q. I believe you feel this way because of the chemistry that exists between all of you. By the way, before making the decision to perform on the piano for the tour, you must have practiced a lot, right?
A. I practiced. In my own room, or at the office.

Q. Yuchun is also really good at livening up the atmosphere and getting reactions from the audience, is that practiced too (laugh)?
A. Of course... I didn't practice that (laugh). At that time, I just do whatever my heart feels.

Q. When shouting out, it feels like Yuchun is leading the shouting.
A. I just naturally became "in-charge" of this.

Q. "In-charge" of this (laugh)?
A. Yes. But it feels really good when shouting. At that moment, it seems like all my feelings can be sent into the hearts of the fans. It's really exciting.

Q. Is there a segment that you like in particular?
A. I really like "Purple Line" and "呪文 －MIROTIC－", these 2 songs. Following the beats of the band, it really gets your blood pumping. I still feel that the accompaniment of the live band is the best!

Q. The atmosphere at the live will also become really high. On the other hand, is there any thing that makes you feel it was a failure?
A. Previously, I forgot the dance steps to "Share The World" and "O- 正・反・合". It's my first time making a mistake for these 2 songs. It feels like the audience didn't notice it, but I still feel embarassed about it, really sorry!

Q. Also, in the video that was shown, there's a scene where you were dumped by a girl.
A. Among the members, there were those who got dumped, and those who did the dumping. Maybe it's because my eyes looks sadder, so they thought that the scene would be more suitable, as I'd be able to portray that sadness... the people around me all think that way (laugh).

★CHANGMIN★



Q. This time, you can sit on the platform and interact with the fans, and the atmosphere also seems different from last year's tour, did you notice that?
A. For me, I don't really feel strongly about this, but people around me say this often. Because the camera crew is the same as last year's, the camera man said "Last year, you didn't look at the camera much, but you did really well this year".

Q. It wasn't on purpose, but you just did it naturally?
A. Yes. I really like the feeling of jumping along with the fans, I'm more happy than I expected to be.

Q. Looking back on it as a whole, was there any moment where you felt like it's tiring and difficult to deal with?
A. It should be physically, the ones where we perspire the most and use the most energy would be "FORCE", "Purple Line" and other dance songs. I think it's really difficult at those times.

Q. Although I'm not really sure, but it's always said that Changmin perspires the most...
A. That's right (laugh). After the first song ended, I'm already covered in perspiration (laugh).

Q. With regards to gaining back your energy after a live performance, does Changmin have any special remedy?
A. Drink a lot of water everyday.

Q. Drink immediately after waking up in the morning; like that?
A. Not just in the morning, but really, throughout the day.

Q. This is good for your metabolism, but you still perspire?
A. But... I've always perspired easily since I was a kid (laugh).

Q. It's been like this since you were a child?
A. Yes. But maybe it's because I usually drink a lot of water, I don't feel as tired this year, as compared to last year. My throat didn't become sore too.

Q. I see. In order to express each song fully, and according to the different requirements of the songs, it demands a lot out of your voice. What do you think?
A. I think it's a necessity to constantly improve. But, just to change the vocals is not enough, I think I still need to improve when it comes to putting in feelings, this is also a skill required in performing.

Q. Which is to say, you won't just adjust your voice, but adjust it according to how your feelings change?
A. I think it's like that. Sometimes I'll make adjustments on purpose, but I still feel that it's better to make the adjustments according to how my feelings change.

Q. Up until now, do you feel... you've failed in any aspect?
A. Isn't there a performance where we're singing and the stage is moving towards the audience at the same time? That's really high... really scary (laugh). At the beginning, I kept thinking about what I should do if I cannot fully concentrate enough to dance (laugh).

Q. If you look from above, it must be really high.
A. (In a definite manner) Very high!

Q. Very high (laugh). But, after experiencing it a few times...
A. I got used to it slowly, now I can sing without worries... How do I say this? I still can't relax completely (laugh). But, I can already gather my full concentration to sing, so please be assured everyone!

Q. At Saitama Super Arena, it seemed like your foot injury ws not completely healed yet. Is it alright now?
A. Yes, I can dance now. I will slowly dance more for the last half of the tour, please do not worry.

Q. For this tour, during the performance of "Beautiful You", so portion where you stood alone and sang under the spotlight left a deep impression. At that moment, what did you feel?
A. It's different every single time, I'll go with the flow of the atmosphere then. Because that portion is an improvisation, the tune is dragged out longer, or maybe to change a breath, just performing it naturally.

Q. Which is to say, at different times, the feeling is different?
A. Yes. I drag my voice out longer, or make it huskier, it changes like that.

Q. For this tour, which part made you feel like you've put a lot of effort in singing and performing?
A. No matter what song, I treat every song seriously. But because "Stand by U" is a new song, we have to take into consideration that it's the first time everyone is hearing it, and we hope that everyone will like it, so we'll take special care in thinking about the lyrics while performing.

Q. This time all kinds of videos were filmed too. How do you feel about that?
A. I did something that I've never done before, it was something I could challenge myself with, so it felt good. While filming, I'll keep thinking of the results of the filming, so there's expectation but insecurities as well.

Q. What do you have to take note of when filming?
A. I have to keep confirming and filming in front of the camera. When it ended, it really felt like that was the best cut already (laugh). It's thanks to the crew that we had such good results.

Q. The video during the Live is also important, right?
A. It can influence the overall effect as it'll be used from the time filming is over until the end of the tour. Because this will be used repeatedly, so there was a bit of stress (laugh).

Q. During the tour, was there any portion where you felt you failed at?
A. For me, I got injured the day before the tour, and it resulted in the 5 of us being unable to dance together. This thing is the most (regrettable)... I really feel so sorry.

Q. But, the fans gave Junsu a really heart-warming reception.
A. I'm really, really thankful to everyone. I want to do the best I can... even if it's just my own feelings, I want to send it across to everyone. Now, this feeling I have is the strongest it's ever been.

Q. I think that this feeling that Junsu has for everyone has already been sent to them.
A. If that is the case, that would be great.

Q. Also, during every Live, you'll be asked "Any new gags?" during the Talk. You must feel really tired (laugh).
A. It's very stressful~ (laugh). I have no new gag material, so I can only do the old ones... even if I think of new ones, they are used so quickly.

Q. So, for the next half of the tour, we'll look forward to your new gags and your performance after your recovery~ (laugh).
A. I will put in everyone's concern and my own thankfulness into my performances, and send it to everyone as thanks.

Q. "4th Live Tour 2009 ~The Secret Code~" is being held currently, what are your thoughts about it this time?
A. For this tour, compared to the previous tours, there are more "show" segments, it feels like we are enjoying the Live together with the fans. Also, there are a lot of dance songs, it feels really exciting. Ballads are also inserted in the middle, to make it more balanced.

Q. At the opening, there's a portion for a solo dance. At that moment, did you feel nervous?
A. Yes... very nervous. Especially at the beginning of the tour, I felt stressed and really nervous. But, as soon as I step on the stage, all I feel is happiness after that. After receiving everyone's support, I want to let everyone know that these are my thoughts.

Q. Right after the intense dance performance for "呪文 －MIROTIC－", Yunho starts off the song "Heart, Mind and Soul". It must be really tough here?
A. Very difficult, even more so than I thought it would be... (laugh). To be honest, when I first saw this itinerary, I was already questioning whether there would be any problems. After a very intense dance performance, it's immediately my part again. But after singing, it felt really good. After an intense dance performance, the lights on the stage darken, at that moment, I'd prepare myself and throw myself into the next song. This feeling is really great.

Q. Even though it's really difficult, it feels really good.
A. Yes, we also had to change costumes quickly then, so realistically, adjusting the breathing is really hard. But, seeing the happiness of the fans at the Live, it makes me feel like it's worth it, and thus makes me happy as well.

Q. During a performance, which aspect is the most important to you?
A. For dance, it's still "Purple Line" and "呪文 －MIROTIC－". Because it's a wide stage, so we feel the need to fully present the impact of the dance to everyone. Especially for "呪文 －MIROTIC－", which incorporated the use of the screens at the Live into the dance; I think this point is important.

Q. For this tour, it seems like you are more concerned about the members surrounding you, and not just noticing your own portion. Is it because you want to make sure of the rapport between the members and their condition?
A. You praised me too much! That wasn't on purpose as well, I think its more like a habit that I developed naturally. Previously, it feels like I did it purposefully, but from 1 or 2 years ago, I think it just became a natural thing.

Q. To develop this habit naturally, that's really great. But on the other hand, up till now, is there anything you felt was a failure?
A. During the solo dance for "Choosey Lover", I lost my balance and I went a little out of tune while trying to regain my balance. But at that moment, I tried hard to make it seem like it was done on purpose, to make everyone think that it was planned. At the end of that, Sam-san said, "That was on purpose (laugh)?" I laughed and replied, "That wasn't on purpose (laugh)". After that, during "Nobody Knows", my teeth bumped into the microphone (laugh). I bore with it and sang till the end. But it really hurt (laugh).

JS: It’s been a while since I’ve been to a vacation site and my mood is rather good too. There is ping-pong there and we played it for a very long time, it left a deep impression on me. Also, the members all drank beer in the evening and sang on a LIVE CLUB stage.

- During the promotion for Mirotic, you did alot of exercise. Other than playing ping-pong, do you do alot of sports during your free time?
JS: I have already set my heart to do sports, other than that, I also play games, watch movies, just like normal times only more relaxed. Sleeping too, and since I like soccer, I also play soccer.

- Your favourite sport is soccer? Do you have a team?
JS: Correct, my favourite is soccer. During our stay at Saipan, we played indoor soccer, it was very interesting.

- What did you do during your free time before Saipan?
JS: I went home and it has also been 6, 7 years since we had a family outing. We went to the beach, ate raw fish. Although it is not a very special occasion but it was definitely worth treasuring and I enjoyed it alot.

- If you have a special off-days, are there some things that is a must do? What do you think is the secret to spending your vacation happily?
JS: While being on vacation, I would usually wonder “I want to do this, I want to do that” and have alot of plans but when the vacations are over, I usually don’t do any one of those. On the contrary, I would not want to go out and get a headache deciding on where to go. If I have time, I’d rather stay at home.

- Then, in the future, if you have any more vacations, what do you want to do the most?
JS: HOLIDAY!

- And to where?
JS: Although the main reason of us coming to Saipan this time round is due to filming, but I did feel abit of a vacation. Sleeping on the island, drinking coconut juice and have also become even closer with the members.

- Do you like places that are similar to Europe?
JS: I like places that are more soothing instead. Places with coconut trees seem to bring about more comfort. (T/N: <3 Be careful not to get hit by the coconuts!)

- What do you feel about Saipan?
CM: Although we have already came thrice, but I still feel that this time was better because it was really interesting.

- I heard that you had a few days off before coming to Saipan, what did you do during that period?
CM: I met up with friends and drank together, ate together and climbed a mountain myself. It has been about a year since I saw my friends so I used this opportunity to meet up with them. If I have extra time, I would also go for a few courses regarding singing. (T/N: Always hardworking Changmin biggrin.gif)

- Do you have any secrets to spend vacations happily?
CM: Talking about rest, because we have gone through a full year of promotion and activities, compared to planning on where to go, I rather pass the days quietly. Other than meeting up with friends at night, I don’t go out and stay at home to listen to music.

- While vacationing, compared to cities, you seem to prefer places that are more soothing?
CM: Although I rerally love quiet self-mediation places but if I have the chance, I would like to go to New York, a place where there are alot of people.

- Recently in vacations, do you have any deep impressions of anything?
CM: Driving by mself. Driving aimlessly, not really wondering where to go. If I’m around Seoul, I’ll go back and proceed on to Incheon then going on to Gyeonggi-do then climbing a mountain and proceeding home while listening to music.

- Do you have any plans for the rest this summer?
CM: Although we did not have a rest this summer but if we did, I would like to go to Paula Paula Island (T/N: No idea what this is, directly translated) with my lover. The last time we had a family outing was 7, 8 years ago so I would like to go on a holiday with my parents and sister. I’m not sure if it could be fulfilled.

- If you had free time, would you like to do alot of sports?
CM: The members all love sports. I like exercising myself but I also like doing it as a group.

- Are there any incidents that left a deep impression on you this time round in Saipan?
CM: On the last day, me and the workers were chatting while walking, the members were sitting at the sea side at the far end and were drinking beer carefreely.I really miss that night’s last meal, every moment has left a deep impression.

- Think about a future you?
CM: To be able to have a happy family.

- Of all the things you have experienced in Saipan, were there any that left an impression?
YC: Picking coconuts to eat. It seems like I was able to open a few coconuts with just one move. This is a first-time experience. It held a real wildlife experience. And also, going to the beach after visiting a beershop. In the evening, we were drinking beer together with the staff.

- Do you have any plans for this year’s summer vacations?
YC: We must have our rest days first..

- During vacations, where do you want to go and with whom?
YC: I want to go to Switzerland alone.

- Alone? What kind of person are you?
YC:To be honest, I’m the kind of often feels lonely and that’s how my inner self shows.

- It seems to fit an Europe holiday.
YC: I personally like Switzerland. For Europe, I like Brazil and Czech Republic.

- Do you have any special reason for your liking for Switzerland?
YC: I have come across some nice background scenery of Switzerland and I like them alot. After going to Switzerland, I’d like to go to Provence.

- If you have a lover, where would you like to go?
YC: I would like to go to a place with a good atmosphere. First thing that I want to do is to bring her out at night after a day at work.

- Which vacation left the deepest impression?
YC: I can’t exactly call it a holiday. It was in Japan and we left for the hot springs. Everytime we go there, the memory is precious to me.

- During the activities in Japam, what would you do when you go back to Seoul?
YC: There really is alot of things. I would like to drink and of course my tolerance is not bad. I would like to see Korean staff overseas as well so when I go back, we can drink together. Although I don’t really like a crowd but I can manage drinking with the staff,

- You don’t like to go to a place with a crowd in Seoul?
YC: I don’t go. I usually go out in the evening. If it’s in the morning, I’d feel dizzy. (T/N: Ofcourse, since YC Isn’t a morning boy!)

- What do you think about Saipan? Did you film a lot of sports scenes?
JJ: The things that happened were more than expected. It was a holiday full of interesting scenes and also, hardship.

- Were there any things that left a deep impression?
JJ: Because I had to become a MC, it was quite burdensome and hard, to be honest. (T/N: <3 We’re here!!)

- Do you have any special plans for this year’s summer holidays?
JJ: Actually, we had no vacations. But if we had the time, I would like to go back to my hometown and meet up with friends. During the rest before coming to Saipan, me and my friends went to China. (T/N: ZOMG AND NO ONE REALIZED?!?!) Although the time was short but we ate alot of delicious food and played alot.

- Where would you like to go if you had a vacation?
JJ: I would like to drive to different places. Not Seoul but to a quiter place.

- Is there anyone you’d like to specially go with?
JJ: If I had a girlfriend, I would go with her but it’s okay if I’m going alone as well.

- Why would you want to drive there?
JJ: Compared to China, I prefer to drive to places. It’s relaxing and comfortable. (T/N: wasn’t driving stressful?!) I can also bring alot my favourite songs. If I like someone, the thing I would want to do would be to bring her along. Ah, and on our anniversary as well.

- What kind of music would you want to listen to?
JJ: I don’t really have a specific genre for music.

- In your previous vacations, which one has the deepest impression?
JJ: Going to Paula Paula Island with the members.

- Is there any special reason?
JJ: It is the most beautiful island to date, and is a good self-meditation place. As we had to go there to have a shooting for a poster, it is a place full of good memories.

- Personally, if you go for a vacation, do you prefer cities or self-meditation places?
JJ: It;’s not either actually, I just like to go to a place. Even if it’s not somewhere far, I like to drive to different corners. There is also another reason – because I hate the sun so compared to the day, I prefer the night although it might be a little dangerous. (T/N: Jae, the pretty boy who can’t stand the sun XD)

- During the activities in Japan, what would you like to do if you go back to Seoul?
JJ: There is no special thing, just meeting up with friends and drink.

- Is it very stressful and troublesome to have security following you?
JJ: I’m used to it now and have already learnt how to face it.

- How do you reduce the stress?
JJ: Composing. Once I have the time, I would compose and relieve my stress at the same time.

- What do you think about Saipan?
YH: Although we have been exercising the whole day but it is rather interesting to film in such a carefree environment. When the shooting ends and we drink together with the staff, play ping-pong and swim at night. It was really enjoyable. Although we are always shooting and filming and we feel tired but we will show everyone our comfortable and enjoyable self and let the fans who see this feel like coming here as well. That is why letting everyone see our genuine self is not something bad.

- During this period, are there any things that left a special memory?
YH: It’s swimming and playing basketball in the water with the staff. We also played hide-and-seek, ate and chatted freely together. It really is a deep impression. (T/N: Omg, hide-and-seek, dorky them XD) It is just like going to the army with my friends. Our members have never ended army during their university period but it really feels like army.

- Do you have any special plans for this summer vacation?
YH: If I am unable to go to Las vegas, I would like to go Jeju Island. If there is still time after the shooting today, I would like to go to a clean place to walk around. To be able to go to a place where not many Koreans know isn’t too bad. Our country has alot of beautiful places to go but there are also alot of places that we haven’t went.

- Where would you usually go during a vacation?
YH: This time we went back to Gwangju Metropolitan City. Firstly, I went to pray to the ancestors and then proceeding to the elder village and gave my grandparents delicious food. I ate with my family and went back to my former school. Actually, because my parents like to help others, I have learnt to do that unconsciously as well.

- Which part of Seoul do you like the most?
YH: Since I was born in Jeolla-do, so I have deep feelings for Jeolla-do. But I also like Seoul.

- Do you frequent a place in Seoul?
YH: I occasionally go to Seoul Tower. I’d go to the roof by myself and since I like the sea, I would also go to the seaside with my friends.

- If you have a lover, where is a must go place?
YH; Of course a tourist attraction especially the Santorini Island. If I go with my girlfriend, it would be very romantic. I would also like to bring her home and let her see tha place I was born in. (T/N: -raises hand- , me please!)

- Is there a place that has left a deep impression?
YH: I remember going to the nami Island in Chuncheon with 6 boys wearing high school uniform last year. I like going out with a bunch of guys. Riding a motorcycle, sitting on a boat is a very recent interesting vacation memory.

- During the activities in Japan, what would you do in Korea if you go back? Of course it is if you have the time to.
YH: To go out with my members and friends. As we hardly have any time so I would like to go out and play when there is time. But in reality, time that actually belongs to yourself is never there. Ah~ I would also go for a holiday and go bowling.

- Alot of popular people will leave a long impression on others. What does Yunho want to be?

YH: To be able to enjoy life every day, even if it’s hard, I would work hard. Although I don’t really like leading life to be too ideal but comapred to a 100 dreams, I think it is better to have a 1000 dreams. For goals, I must have a 1000% determination and work hard even if I can’t achieve that much but at least I would reach 999% so I will use all my strength before I succeed. In the future, I would like to become the responsibility of those who want to be able to become the driving force of our country, but until now, there are those who are finding a hard time find an opportunity. Although I am unable to see the results of the future right now, but if I start working hard now, I will become proud of myself one day, right?

- Are you contented with your life now?
YH: When I just started, it was quite hard and it wasn’t easy to get used to it. I would also occasionally suspect if I did the wrong decision. Because my surroundings are gradually changing, I feel that life is abit wild at the end. I will work hard until I am able to do very good.
