I finished my first day! Wow, we’re already in Tokyo! (laugh)
I haven’t blogged in a while!
There was something that really surprised me today.
There was a time on stage when I felt really calm, and I started thinking, “Hey, I was watching ‘Doumini coopere~’ from backstage last year.” The lights were really beautiful.
This year,
Before Tohoshinki was going to sing, there were blue lights.
Once a video of them showed up, red lights started glowing all across the audience.
Yes, it was the fans' red lights!!
And when the five of them were walking towards the huge ocean of fire (omg, it’s a RED OCEAN xD), I started getting really excited and moved.
It was amazing. Every single person’s strength put together can something so huge.

I really want to show all of you!
Blue lights,
Red lights,
What I saw was purple, because the colors were mixed!!!!!
And then we started dancing “Purple Line”.
I felt like it had been a while since I had been so into a dance, and I had tons of fun!

Annyeong! (Hello in Korean)
I went to a-nation! It was really hot.
Tohoshinki and their fans were really riled up xD
I got there a little after 10:00…and there was a huge line.
I asked someone what it was, and they told me it was for a-nation.
I really didn’t believe them at first…it was so different from last year.
I went to eat the food that Tohoshinki had ready [Korean style shaved ice that they named Love in the Ice].
It was gooood.
The ice was like snow powder. I usually don’t really like shaved ice, but this was good.


It started getting pretty dark, so we knew that they were going to come out soon.
And when I thought about it, I started getting all teary.
Before 7:00 (PM), on the screen…It was the five of them <3>3< And I also got to check and see Yoochun’s new tattoo^^ If any of you get to go tomorrow, cheer them on for me! ^^ That was my rushed report~.

[Trans]Xiah Junsu Fanclub’s Critism Over SM’s “Payment in Advance” Statement

SM lawyer statement at the first court hearing on August 21st which was revealing that DBSK’s Xiah Junsu had received 45 million won which was believed to be his money source to file the current outstanding lawsuit against SM seemed to fire up the whole DBSK fans especially Xiah Junsu personal fancafe.

SM stated at the court, “Xiah Junsu received 45 million Won in advanced payment on July 15th,” and “Seeing as this was done one month before the trial, it is hard to see that this action has nothing to do with the lawsuit.”

At Xiah Junsu fanclub homepage on the 22th was published article condemning SM for releasing statement that is considered as character attack towards Junsu.

In the article written by the fans, “At the hearing of injunction application case to stop exclusive contract effect, SM said at the court that on July 15th Junsu had received in advance 45 million won from SM. This argument statement was then released publicly through media.” and “However, at the end SM also mentioned so-called sentiment, ‘SM has infinite affection towards DBSK and is seeking a long-term plan and vision to debut DBSK in Hollywood’. Such media-play statements are definitely abominable.”

DBSK lawyer later on clarified that the money was received to settle Junsu’s income tax. “The money was probably to settle his account for income taxes. Ever since DBSK debuted in 2004, SM has been in charge of all tax payments such as the composite income tax regarding DBSK’s income. The composite income tax is settled depending on how much the group earns for the first half of each year and was given to the members to pay in the form of advanced payments.”

Xiah Junsu fanclub explained the reason of their curse to SM for the company’s previous statement. “Because SM’s statement, now the media circulating around have ‘Junsu had received 45 million won from SM” as their headlines, and that’s a serious attack to Junsu’s image. It seems that SM wants people to think that Junsu is somekind person who is crazy and has no self-control over money thus even dare to ask for advance payment before he filed lawsuit against his own agency.”

The fanclub continued, “Xiah Junsu is now known in all over Asia to represent the country. And such accusation will obliterate his well-built image in public.”

Exclusive contract .. “lifetime contract” vs “for overseas expansion”

DBSK side: “Other famous agencies only have 5-7 years contract with their artists, in coherence with Korea Fair Trade Commissions which allows maximum 7 years for exclusive contact period, not as many as SM which lasts until 13 years.”

“Most idol singers’ active period is during the prime of their life. Therefore 13 years contract can be viewed as a lifetime contract.”

“In addition, if they terminate the contract during half way period, the penalty of sum of total investment and loss will cost up to 100 billion won which is the long term contract device to not allowing the artist to escape.”

SM side: “We already made several times modifications at the contract, in each and every points FTC can not accept. Also, if the artist wants to go international, they can’t choose but to have a long term contract.”

“We already had plan in our hand to do S.E.S record expansion with Japanese famous label back then, but it’s failed since they couldn’t take SM exclusive contract.”

“BoA, Kang Ta, and other artists engaged in overseas activities have exclusive contract period for 15 years. In order to get a result for overseas activities, we need a long period of time, we cant help it.”


◇ Revenue distribution .. “it should be proportional to income” vs “They’re agreed facts”

DBSK side: “The three members think that they do not get distribution revenue fairly to their proportional income. We respect SM business secret, but we also demand an exact calculation data about the income.”

SM side: “We released settlement data about each member publicly every six month. In fact, last February, all 5 DBSK members’ parent had signed the settlement and made an agreement about the contract.”

DBSK side: “The three members are still young men and don’t even know the content of settlement they had just signed. When our lawyer asked for re-statement of accounts, with reasons that it’s secret, the company refused to provide the data. Later on, SM only invited the members without any legal companion to look and talk about the data.”


◇ Cosmetics business .. “a common example,” vs “the nature of the case”

The lawyers of DBSK’s 3 members refused to make further comment about cosmetic business which is believed by SM side to be the nature of the case. “They do not put big investment in the cosmetic business and it’s a common incidental income among artists to have. We did not feel that money was the problem in this lawsuit so we did not talk about it on its own.”

SM side: “But the 3 members who applied this case are all the owners of cosmetic business. It proves that this is the main reason of this case.”

“As cosmetic business owners, the members will expose their image in to any events held, as well as in the homepage. And it’s considered as violation to the exclusive contract. SM should ask them to self-control regarding such kind exploitation because it has possibility to decrease the shock (exclusivity) of DBSK overall images.”


◇ DBSK will continue….

SM side: “Through this lawsuit, we hope to resolve any misunderstandings with the applicants (3 DBSK members), to deepen trust therefore we can together lead the future 2nd Korean wave. The star and agency, we want to grow together as their companion.”

“We have unlimited affection to the applicants and right now we’re seeking a long-range plan vision to debut them in Hollywood, United States. We hope this case can be resolved.”

DBSK side: “If you look at Shinhwa, although each member is in a different agency, they still perform as one group and the three members, even if they move agencies, do not wish to disband. As TVXQ, they don’t want any separation among the members.”

“The three members have a deep feeling towards SM, but they’re ready to accept any possibilities this case might leads in the future.”

[NEWS] U-know Yunho, "The Other Members Are Cheering Me On"

U-Know Yunho revealed his thoughts regarding his first attempt at acting with his fellow TVXQ members cheering him on.

On the August 21st episode of MBC 'Section TV Entertainment News', the shooting for the poster of MBC's new Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Heading to the Ground' was aired. U-Know Yunho, Ara, Lee Yoonji and Lee Sang-yoon were present at this location.

When asked about his thoughts regarding his first attempt at acting, U-Know Yunho wittily replied using the drama's title and said, "I feel like I'm heading to the ground." Regarding the reaction he was getting, he said, "The other members told me that they think I'll do well and that they support me 100%. They said that the character is very similar to me since we both have a lot of charm."

Lee Sang-yoon, who has to play a role who constantly fights U-Know Yunho and riles him up, did not say much as he took TVXQ fans into consideration and said, "He's doing the best that he can." Lee Sang-yoon also made viewers laugh by subconsciously sitting straighter and looking more nervous when the subject of TVXQ's fans Cassiopeia came up during the interview.

'Heading to the Ground' is a love story that results from the misunderstandings that arise between passionate yet unlucky Bong-goon and Kang Haebin (played by Ara), a girl who has everything but wishes to succeed on her own.

U-Know Yunho plays the role of Cha Bong-goon, a man who lives an unlucky life, having almost died three times, but still lives a passionate life in order to fulfill his dream of playing on the national soccer team. The first episode airs on September 9th.

[NEWS] Choikang Changmin Will Begin Filming For His Drama In September

5 member idol group TVXQ's Choikang Changmin will begin filming for his first drama in September.

On the 22nd, TVXQ's agency SM Entertainment said, "There is a high chance that Choikang Changmin will begin filming for the drama 'Paradise Ranch' in early September," and "Choikang Changmin will be the lead role in this drama."

This is the first time Choikang Changmin will be starring in a drama in five years since his debut in 2004.

This drama will be co-produced by Samhwa Networks and SM Entertainment, and is planned to begin ariting later this year.

On the other hand, TVXQ's leader U-Know Yunho's drama MBC's new Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Heading to the Ground' will begin airing early September. This is also U-Know Yunho's first attempt at acting.

[News] Dong Bang Shin Ki VS SM Ent. trial begins

Dong Bang Shin Ki members Hero JaeJoong, Micky YooChun and Xiah JunSu will go through a trial to retract the exclusive belonging rights of their ‘unjust contract’ with SM Entertainment from 21st August.

In a hearing held at the Seoul District Court late Friday morning the three members’ legal representative from the law firm Shin & Kim (also known as Sejong Law Firm) spoke about how the group’s contract is unfair and how the profit has not been distributed properly.

SM Entertainment countered it by claiming that the agency incurred loss for four straight years while the members were in training and the profit payment was carried out fair and square.

During the hearing the lawyer said that the three members want to move to another agency, but also want to continue on their careers as Dong Bang Shin Ki . The Shin & Kim lawyer cited another long-running K-pop group, Shinhwa, as an example of group members belonging to different agencies, yet working together.

The hearing reportedly went on with both sides fiercely arguing their positions. The court said that a mediation period can be set aside, if the two parties agreed, and recommended that the two parties settle the case to wrap up the proceeding quickly.

[Trans] 090821 TVXQ vs SME "We Want This Lawsuit To Finish Quickly"

TVXQ's YoungWoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun and Xiah Junsu have stated that they wish for their lawsuit against SM Entertainment to finish quickly.

Both sides stated their position at the first hearing held on the 21st at 10:20 am.

The members' side pointed out the unlawful problems in their exclusive contract as well as the doubtful income division made by SME.

SME's side stated that they were in red figures for four years after TVXQ debuted, said that they had divided the income well and that what the three members were saying was false.

Both sides stated that they wanted this lawsuit to be solved as quickly as possible. The judge stated, "If both side would like to set a settlement date that will not be open to the public, that can be arranged," and urged both sides to come to a mutual agreement.

It can be seen that the judge believes it will be better for the two sides to start fresh as quickly as possible rather than have a tiring fight in court.

On the other hand, on the 20th, 120,000 fans submitted petitions against SME's unlawful contract to the Seoul District Courts where the trial is being held.
